Setting up and running a play-based approach in KS1 can be really tough! What really helped me early on in the journey was listening to advice from others and seeing what a classroom could look like, realistically. Learning the differences between enhanced provision and continuous provision is essential, as well as understanding the pedagogy, how a timetable can allow for more child-led play and ways of planning for a play-based approach. With key reading to support your understanding, photos of set ups and classroom layouts, visuals of planning documents and support with how learning in play can meet National Curriculum objectives- this is a detailed course which will get you up and running with confidence!
